A small town on
the right bank of the Danube, in it`s history it has been
moved 3 times. Initially it was on an island named Potec.
In the 19th century, the town has been moved a few km up-stream.
In the new location it could be found on the right bank
of the Danube and it was given the new name of Milanovac.
Later, the word 'doni'was added, meaning "the lower", to
differentiate from "the upper Milanovac".In the 20th century,
"Portile de fier" hydro-electric plant was built and the
town moved again..where it is today.
The Resthouse was rated 4 stars. It lies in the center of
Doni Milanovac, with a wide view to the Danube.
